What RFQ Means

RFQ explained without order-book jargon.

Start here

RFQ means request for quote. Instead of trading from a public order book, you review a firm quote from a maker.

1

Why RFQ fits skins

  • CS2 skins are not perfectly identical.
  • Float, wear, rarity, liquidity, and custody state matter.
  • RFQ lets makers price the current quote instead of showing stale depth.
2

What a quote shows

  • Skin market.
  • Call or put side.
  • Strike.
  • Expiry.
  • Premium and fees.
  • Quote timer.
  • Settlement terms.
3

Before accepting

  • Check the timer.
  • Check max loss or obligation.
  • Read the settlement path.
  • If anything is unclear, do not accept.
